Shailot(Praan)
Bothu is known for its natural beauty as well as for its Shailot(Pran) quality in the whole country. The major source and moreover the booster source of economy for people of the said village is Shallot.
Although slightly different, this crop belongs to Onion family. It is used as one of the major spices in Kashmir wazwaan. The shallot crop grown in village Bothoo attributes its fame to the top-notch taste and long lasting characteristics, emerging as one of the major economic sources to our village. The best time for buying this crop is merely Sep- Oct as this period has proven best for its enhancement. This crop is being harvested nearly in Mid-June- July months respectively.
